Cookie Policy

Last updated: February 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Unscattrd uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. We keep it as simple and clear as possible.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how visitors use the site.

We also use localStorage — a similar technology built into your browser that stores data locally on your device. Unlike cookies, localStorage data is not sent to our servers with every request.

What We Use

Technology Purpose Duration Type
localStorage Stores your test progress and results so you don't lose them when navigating between pages Until you clear browser data Strictly necessary
Vercel analytics Anonymous page view tracking to understand which content is most helpful Session / 30 days Analytics
Adyen (payment pages) Fraud prevention and payment security during checkout Session Strictly necessary

What We Do NOT Use

Strictly Necessary vs Optional

Strictly necessary: The localStorage usage for storing test results is required for the site to function properly. Without it, your test results would be lost when you navigate to the results page. You cannot opt out of this without disabling JavaScript entirely.

Analytics (optional): We use basic, privacy-friendly analytics to see which pages are most visited and how visitors find us. This data is anonymous and does not identify you personally.

How to Control Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings:

Note: Clearing localStorage in your browser will erase your saved test results.
